Mocking The Ocean

Sensing from afar
A menacing motion
I held my arms wide
And welcomed Death from The Ocean
Feeling my presence
It swelled up and grew higher
Longing to envelope me
In its cold watery fire
It craved my spirit
Made intentions clear
I invited its wrath
And felt no fear
Long fluid hands
Spread forth like disease
With a power and swiftness
That is solely The Sea's
It conquered land's barrier's
Destroyed all the churches
Continued to hunt me
A most vicious of searches
Across the terrain
Both hilly and flat
Its strategy for Death
Rehearsed and down pat
Soon found me alone
By myself, looking lazy
It hesitated and pondered
Could this guy be crazy?
The mere mortal should fear me
It continued to think
I scoffed and then poured myself
Another cool drink
Then, summoning its rage
Voice was put forth
A rumble of rage
Heard both south and north
"Hear Hear Simple Being
You Should Cower In Fear
A Force My Size
Is Rarely Wished Near
"Did You Not Know
In My Waves Do Exist
A Means Of Death
You Could Never Resist
