Why do these Australians

Keep going in the water

When what always

Seems to await them

Is certain

Horrendous slaughter

If I always knew for sure

That I could never hide her

I would choose

To raise my daughter

Far away

From a monster

Ten pound spider

If it was guaranteed

That every time I jumped into

Water that hadn't been infused

With chlorine

Or had a name I hadn't

Already been to

I think I might decide

To swiftly move aside

And let the down under people

Take all my turns

And continue for awhile

To frolic

In the surf

And current

Entertain the sharks

And at least

One very

Pissed off crocodile
