Better Today (old poem)

Nicely whacked

And back on track

And even though yesterday I yacked

I've had a good rest

And my bags are packed

Pulled up short

Just before I got smacked

Gambled against Life

But the decks were stacked

I'll tell you the truth

I'll tell you a fact

There's no past

No future

It's all just an act

New poem (title suggestions welcome)

Seen all the movies

Read all the books

Winked at a few ladies

Dealt with several dirty looks

Took some solid punches

Rolled with the cheap shots

Ate some awful lunches

Never wasted time on the Slots

Have no interest in complaining

Rather relax and have some fun

I can do that while it's raining

Or while reclining in the Sun
